CTC's air skates make
light work out of any load and enables awkward heavy equipment to glide on
air!
 
 
CTC's air skates are designed to make the
maneuverability of heavy equipment easy. Air pressure regulators are
used to increase the air pressure for each skate until the specially formed
abrasion resistant urethane diaphragm inflates, lifts the load off the
floor, and a thin film of air is formed underneath. The load then 'floats'
on the film of air, virtually friction free, thus making it easy to position
and move. The quality of the floor surface affects the air consumption and
the force required to move the load. To achieve optimum performance of the
skate, we can provide a paper smooth surface, free of steps and cracks (see
above pictures) if required.
